Why TPI?

When you join Turfgrass Producers International (TPI), you join the only international trade association dedicated to encouraging the use of turfgrass sod worldwide. We have a 50-year history of partnering with growers, suppliers, and educators to provide the tools, education, and know-how needed to help turfgrass-related businesses prosper in today’s world. Join us as we help all our members build successful, growing operations and promote the use of turfgass as a way to create healthy outdoor environments and encourage healthy lifestyles.

Choose the membership type that is right for you:

Producers (Class A): Class A membership is comprised of individuals who are actively involved in the production of warm season and/or cool season turfgrass sod. It is broken down by size of and geographical location of farm into the following classifications:

  • Class A-I USA: producers with 1 to 99 acres devoted exclusively to turfgrass sod
  • Class A-II USA: producers with 100-299 acres devoted exclusively to turfgrass sod
  • Class A-III USA: producers with 300 or more acres devoted exclusively to turfgrass sod
  • Class A-I Canada: producers with 1 to 99 acres devoted exclusively to turfgrass sod
  • Class A-II Canada: producers with 100-299 acres devoted exclusively to turfgrass sod
  • Class A-III Canada: producers with 300 or more acres devoted exclusively to turfgrass sod
  • Class A-1 International: producers with 1 to 299 acres devoted exclusively to turfgrass sod
  • Class A-I International: producers with 300 or more acres devoted exclusively to turfgrass sod

Suppliers and Manufacturers (Class B): Class B membership is comprised of companies that are actively involved in providing equipment, manufactured goods, support systems, turfgrass-related materials, services and/or supplies that support turfgrass producers.

Educators and Extension Specialists (Class C): Class C membership is comprised of individuals who are involved in any aspect of turfgrass-related studies, education, or research that benefits turfgrass producers and the industry.

Industry Associates (Class E): Class E members are a diverse and highly active group of members in the industry, including (but not limited to) landscapers, members of other associations, consultants, and media groups.

Students (Class F): Class F membership is comprised of any university turfgrass student or any university student pursuing a career related to the sod production industry.

Retired (Class R): Class R membership is comprised of turfgrass sod producers or supplier members who are no longer active in the business but still have an active interest.
